If a reboot doesn't clear it (off at the wall for a minute then power back on) then it sounds like it might be what's known as DSE or dirty screen effect. It's a side effect of cheaper LCD panels with poor backlight uniformity. It can affect any model of LCD TV to varying degrees. Sky will replace Glass units if they deem them to be faulty so you'd need to prove that this issue has only just appeared or is somehow getting worse.

Thanks for that , sometimes its un noticeable, depends on background colouration like sky or sea or football pitch ect . Been like that from day one and now getting annoying. Will contact sky and see where we go .

It will not improve, duff screen get the TV changed under warranty.

Fingers crossed you get a better panel. Be aware that you may receive a refurbished unit - Sky don't always swap for a brand new one under warranty, but as long as it works and is better than what you currently have, it's not a big deal for most customers.

Its a brand new unit thats being delivered and hopefully shadow free .

I've had the same problem for months.
Ive basically lived with it as it's more noticeable when watching different programs due to the screen colour background.
Anyway I got round to calling about it today and I've been told I have to pay to have it replaced as it's out of warranty 3 weeks!!!
Been a Sky diamond VIP member for over 24 years and they said tough.
As a consequence I've cancelled all Sky subscriptions for both TV and mobile out of principle.
