During an evening when sitting with the Sky Glass off, it frequently turns on sound only and then turns off again.

Any ideas how to prevent it from happening?

If you have wake using motion on this will cause your TV to wake. To turn this off see: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-tv-turning-on-off-glance-motion-technology

However there was a bug a while ago where certain apps would play sound randomly as you described. This was caused by not exiting an app before putting the TV into standby. Try ensuring you quit apps using the back button before turning TV into standby

Motion wake mode is off, I will try the app exiting step and see if that fixes it. Sounds viable.
