Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@chopperbash You're not talking to Sky but other customers. How is the Glass TV connecting to the router? How fast is your broadband?

It could actually be your cr** broadband causing the issues, especially if using WiFi with a lot of other devices in the home.
What speed do you get using the connection test facility in the Netflix app ?

We have sky stream and I totally agree with you. Even when it works it is sometimes slow or seems to drag.

It is wifi but within 2 meters of the router, we have had this looked at and have been told that its the sky tv having trouble talking to a virgin router. That was from sky itself, unfortunately we are tied in to a contract however when its up we will return to virgin

If it's only 2 metres away from the router then connecting via ethernet should be very easy. You can get flat and discreet ethernet cables for less than £10 which may actually solve a lot of your issues.

Its only 2 meters away if you go straight, it would be meters more and all around the libing room if we did that so thats why we had it so you didnt need a cable. If it advertises as non wired tv then thats what you should be able to get. Some people cant simply plug a cable in due to logistics of how a room/house is set up and unfortunately we fall in that category. Sky say that you dont need a dish or cable for this high speed internet tv but thats not the case. In which case if they cannot supply us the full service why can we not get out of the contract or expect a discount as we cannot use it most of the time?

If you want rid of it then you should submit a formal complaint, detailing why you believe it was mis-sold to you and why you believe it does not function as advertised. Many people have successfully managed to get out of their contracts by following the procedure, and many have received full refunds after several months of poor service.

Best of luck with getting the outcome you wish.

Is the correct answer.
Although why anyone would be happy to pay anything at all if they can't use it as claimed is weird.
