Have had the 65" version for a week. Picture quality seems quite poor versus the specs it is supposed to have especially through apps such as Disney and Amazon. But also general channels. You can see the blocky pixels changing and some faint noise through the picture. Have set the tv back light and chosen vivid.
my standard Hd old Samsung seems to give it a far better run for money than I had hoped.

These settings seem to work well and improve he picture quality. Also play with the various options I, and many others, found that Vivid was a good option.
I had Glass for 18 months and then changed to a Samsung TV with Soundbar and Sky Stream puck and am very happy with my decision.
Don't forget you have 31 days to change your mind but you would need to call Sky if you decided to go down that route.

Thanks for the advice, will have a play about as it sound seems good and built in. Heavy old set though so reluctant to wall mount. Had Q for a while and this choice was made as a cost cutting with the tv included. Prior to this I was looking at mid range (HiSense) OLED which was around the same overall price but smaller screen.
As you mention I have a few weeks left to consider it.

Glass has a not particularly distinguished QLED panel (with a chipset to match) produced three years ago during the pandemic: almost all the reviews at the time of launch specifically referred to this as 'mid range' at best. There's been some software improvements since (given the local dimming algorithm was broken on release) but it's a long way from being the equivalent of more recent hardware, and particularly OLED or micro-LED which can now pretty much compete on price.
A Glass television should really be considered if the potential purchaser likes the aesthetic of the enclosure and its minimal cabling, values the somewhat better than average audio, or needs the generous finance terms (albeit on a high purchase price) but not for absolute image quality.

Before abandoning Glass, maybe try the settings given in this post:
I'm currently watching Trooping the Colour and it's not bad, although the fairly antique LG UHD running off a Stream puck upstairs is still 'better'.

Have tried the setting in the link. It has improved the picture, although the red is a little strong. But it's still missing the sharpness and flow that I'd expect from a £1k tv. Have a few weeks to consider. Bizarrely yesterday, I could feel a lot of static build up on the metal bezel. Could feel a vibration when near it and gave quite a shock at one point. So may need to contact them anyway.

It may cost near £1K .... BUT it is just a medium spec TV from 4 years ago, and will not match the quality of current £1K TVs😟

Also at 28kg without stand it's a beast to have to wall mount. Have 3 weeks left to decide.

Realistically it's a television set priced at £1000 three years ago, with a generic ARM chipset that wasn't exactly state of the art at the time and a substantial part of the BOM taken up by that fancy metal enclosure.
You could, for example, spend the same kind of money with a Stream puck on one of last year's LG OLEDs running their custom silicon.
As we've commented elsewhere, Glass pricing defies the rest of the television market: from any other manufacturer the sets would be discontinued or half their launch cost

Well, have had a play at the settings but all in I'm not happy. Final straw yesterday was during the football. Far too much blurring during fast motion. Quite pixelated too. I'm only a few weeks in. Sound is great but can't sit happy with the picture quality. Am going to return/cancel. Now it's a question of recontract Q or move to stream.
Tv choice, I've a great offer of the 65" LG OLED B42 for £900 so jumping on this.

Current OLED discounts really do make the Sky strategy for Glass pricing look rather odd.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@neil+delahay I had Glass for 18 months and generally didn't have any issues but fully agree that the picture quality was poor to put it mildly. I took advantage of some Black Friday deals last November and picked up a 65 inch Samsung and Soundbar . This combination coupled with a stream puck gives absolutely stunning picture quality which is much better than my previous OLED and Sky Q setup.

Cheers for all the comments. Decided to save a little and opted for the LG 55" OLED B4 which I had 20% BLC discount. And also a soundbar and wireless Sub which stacked the half price offer. All in for £860 direct from LG.

Hello again.
Just recieved my sky gkass 65"
I've noticed when I'm on the Disney app, whenever I change pictures modes, vivid, custom etc, every single mode looks exactly the same (unlike when streaming sky's own content).
Full 4k package on sky and Disney.
Any thoughts?
Also, when I change audio the sound goes up and down but no blue indicator appears.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Capt555 I sold my Glass TV last December and now just use a Stream puck. From memory I don't recall any issues with Disney + in fact I think the picture quality was pretty good (it certainly is on the puck). If you feel there is a problem then try a reset (reboot) of Glass TV and refresh of the apps.
To reset Glass you can either unplug it for a couple of minutes or go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device (do not do a factory reset). It takes about 3 minutes to completely reboot. You will have a blank screen for part of the process so don’t panic. The refresh App option is in the same menu.
If there is a software glitch effecting the volume control this might also resolve it for you.
Good luck.
