Sky glass gen 2 Windows 11

Hey all,
Wondering if anyone else has run into this: I'm trying to get proper HDR and 10-bit color output from my Windows 11 PC to a Sky Glass Gen 2. I’ve got a verified high-bandwidth HDMI cable and the latest AMD drivers installed, but the EDID exposed by the TV seems to block HDR and forces fallback to SDR and 8-bit—even with custom ICC profiles and INF overrides in place.
Windows keeps ignoring the override logic unless the EDID itself is corrected. I’ve tried scripting around it, but it feels like the TV’s EEPROM is hard-coded to neuter fidelity.
Has anyone managed to:
• Get a working EDID override INF that exposes HDR and 10-bit properly?
• Flash or patch the TV’s EEPROM to fix the EDID at the source?
Would love to hear if anyone’s cracked this or found a workaround that doesn’t involve manual intervention every boot. Happy to share logs or configs if it helps.
Cheers,
Andy

I'm currently having the same problems.

I use a 7900xt.
Win 11.
HDR has been a dull washed out image for me since day one of my Gen 2.
Until one day..

I did a full, clean install (Saved no settings)

All of a sudden I had Dolby Vision. HDR10.
It looked good..

I deliberately didn't install any windows updates, but noticed "Memory Integrity" within Windows Security, was disabled.
I enabled it, restarted my pc and now I'm back to square one.

Can't enable 10bit HDR, selection falls back to 8bit.
Win HDR also says I no longer have my TV's HDR Credentials.

It's driven me over the bend. I have reported It to the feedback hub.
but still no updates.

I was wondering if there's an update for the TV, via sky....

Updates to the UI are released periodically to all users in batches ...... I cant see there being much testing for users who use as a pc monitor tbh.

Re: Sky glass gen 2 Windows 11

Thanks for pointing this out..Really interesting find on the memory. i did just try switching it too, to no avail off. I think following update KB5065426, the issue is baked in and uninstallable. I have tried CRU overides to no avail. its extremely frustrating as its quite specific so like another user said, its not going to be a standard wide fix.  My next step is to order an edid emulator from amazon . this allows you to manually set the edid data going to the pc . bit drastic but my TV is my monitor in my small flat so no room to have a desktop setup and its my main hub for entertainment. Failing that i think its just a case of waiting to see if any future updates effect the fallback positevely, unless you have had any success ????
