Re: Sky Glass Power up Issues 19-9-24

Done the reset but now the activation link says "Oops there has been a problem", so nowhere to put the activation code in.

Re: Sky Glass Power up Issues 19-9-24

I've downloaded google chrome instead of using safari for my sky glass and it's working  now 😀👍 it goes to the activate page on Chrome 👌

Puck back up and working after performing the recovery process.

Build version now QS033.

Apps did not lose login details.

Edit:  I have also discovered that my other pucks which had been working throughout the problem (presumably because they were powered on all day ) also fail when power is removed and then turned back on.

I have had to perform the recovery process on all pucks.

I am quoting my previous post from last night with an update.

After performing the recovery procedure successfully on all my 6 pucks

(Turn off the mains power to the puck and then turn the power back on whilst holding down the button on it's underside.  Then release the button when the light on the puck changes from white to a coloured light and follow the on screen instructions)

the pucks were updated to build version QS033.

This morning the pucks that were powered overnight have reverted to QS030 but the pucks which were powered off overnight are still on QS033.  These will presumably also revert to QS030.

I mentioned that app login details were remembered, what I didn't mention is that you have to go into settings and set up your picture and sound and start up and standby etc. preferences as these are lost in the restore process.

If you do the reset fix I'm presuming you also lose your Favourite Channels list and Playlist content?

When press down the re set button, I only get the white flashing light. I've pressed down over a minute, no red light.

Playlist is stored server-side and so should be restored.  Unfortunately Favourite Channels appears to be local to each device and so is lost.

@Paul+Dray  You keep playlists as mentioned by @TimmyBGood  as they are stored on the servers.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Sky Glass 55" TV will not start,

My Sky Glass 55" TV will not start, it has decided to not recognise my Router, it keeps asking for IP address and other numbers, sometimes it says software update, I am beginning to think this is a software update that has gone wrong and stopped a lot of TV's from working, I have gone through all the start up procedures so many times and still no luck, it says the standby button on the side should flash but again this does not happen, my warranty has just run out and the best suggestion Sky can come up with is to buy another TV. As this is still not at the end of its contract I still owe over 300gbp. This is not funny anymore.

Ah I wondered if the playlist was server side. So it even remembers your separate playlist custom named  lists?

Re: Sky Glass Power up Issues 19-9-24

Absolutely no website on any device (iphone or ipad) whatsoever will allow me to reactivate.

This is a Sky problem.  Three and a half hours of my life wasted this afternoon.
