Sky Glass Gen2 55"

I want a optical output for a Phonak Hearing aid audio tv connector 

It was suggested I connect a Arc audio splitter box , it worked but it cuts off the interal audio so the rest of family cannot hear

Ive also tried one of the std HDMI outputs to a HDMI audio box but it douse not seem to have any audio output.

Has anyone managed to extract audio witout affecting interal souind ???

If not It has to be retured to SKY

Yes, that's by design

That's correct: by definition only the designated Audio Return Channel (ARC) HDMI port has audio going in that direction.
