Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

I just got a Sky Glass Gen 2 delivered and setup and after they left I realised it was not stable. Looking at the installation video online they have put it round the wrong way and the TV is not flush on the stand but sticking about 2 inches above. I phoned sky about it and after 40 mins on the phone they could not do anything about it even after I raised a complaint and asked me to contact the installer, I called the installer and the phone line does not connect even though I am in business hours and their messenger link is broken. This is really dire from Sky.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

Isn't it fairly straightforward to remove the stand and put it on the right way?

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

It is a 2 person job with such a big TV and they jammed it in pretty tight to try and get it flush, if anything breaks trying to rectify it I will be left with a broken TV. I also paid extra for this setup so would sort of expect to get what I paid for.

What size is it? I set up my 55" myself without any bother. It will be the delivery company you need to contact to fix it I would guess.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

65 inch and it will have to be pulled out probably with a bit of force and re-seated I am a pretty big guy but would not be comforable with this, Sky website specifically stats this is a 2 person job to do safely.  Sky do contract with the delivery company so I would have hoped for better for them. I am trying to contact the delivery company without much luck so far.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

To update if I go to https://aithomedelivery.co.uk/ which is a different link to the one on the email I was able to get in touch with the online chat on the delivery company who have arranged a setup inspection after I sent a picture to them so hopefully gets sorted out although this has not exatly been smooth and I am concerned that they have jammed the stand in the wrong way round, hope nothing gets damaged when they try to take it out.

I hope you get a resolution soon. That's a disappointing service from the delivery co.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

It is such a simple thing to do and you would think they had done it before. Very strange.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 incorrect setup nightmare

I had my Sky Glass Gen 2 delivered yesterday and I think I'm in the same position as yourself. I too paid for the premium delivery and once the installers had gone, I peeled off the sticker from the FRONT of the stand. Sky's website set up

instructions is to follow the steps on the sticker found on the BACK of the stand. Is it only one way round for the stand to go and definitely isn't meant to fit both ways? The Glass speaker bar is slightly raised and for some reason I thought this is how it's meant to be. Easier to dust my TV cabinet through the middle gap? Is the speaker bar meant to be as far down as possible without any inbetween gap?
