Hi,
I am having issues when I have either Auto, or Dolby selected as the output via the HDMI ARC channel. I have a Yamaha RX-A4A amplifier connected to process the audio.
In particular, when I am watching anything that is not 'live tv' ie Netflix, Disney+ etc, the audio drops out for a second or so every minute and then gradually gets worse until it stops working completely. The amplifier indicates that it has lost the audio signal from the TV.
If I set the TV audio output to stereo PCM it is absolutely fine. I am certain it's not the amplifier as I have tried my Sky puck, Xbox and Blu-ray player on the same HDMI input on the amplifier with no issues.
In the beginning, a reboot of the TV solved it for a few days but since the software update that added CEC it is a permanent issue.
I really hope it's not just me having this issue 😳
