Replacing Sky Glass - Soundbar Suggestions?

I've got a Sky Glass 55" TV which as far as TV's go, I quite like it. The sound quality is far superior to my LG nanoLED TV's and the picture quality is pretty decent.

However...we haven't watched live tv for a long time and just watch Netflix, YouTube and Disney+ so I've cancelled my Sky subscription so just paying the monthly payments for the TV itself.

My issue is that Sky have completely dumbed down the Sky Glass TV. The default apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime and Disney+ still work, however, Sky have completely removed the ability to download additional apps so we can't listen to radio on the TV (other than the garbage on the Global Player app). I've had a look at the Freeview UK Radio Portal (channel 277) but it doesn't seem to work either.

Anyway, due to the above, we are looking at replacing the Sky Glass as our main TV with a LG nanoLED 55", but the sound quality is terrible in comparison.

So, I'd love suggestions on a decent but cost effective soundbar that will replace the sound quality of the Sky Glass - any suggestions?

You haven't mentioned a price range - but I bought one of these for my Gen 1 Glass when the bass speaker succumbed to the usual Glass distortion. It's considerably better than the Glass's built-in soundbar: https://uk.yamaha.com/en/audio/home-audio/products/sound-bar/sr-c30a/

A 55" LG Nanocell is about £500, I would look at a SONOS Ray for soundbar only or Polk Audio SIGNA 2 if you have space for a sub, both will set you back sub £200.

Other soundbars are available for less, some (Hisense) also claim to be Dolby Atmos, but in my experience they are poor quality in terms of build and sound.

If you can, get yourself to a decent retailer like Richer Sounds and get proper advice, a decent listen and a package deal with a good warranty.

Thanks both. I don't have a specific budget in mind as long as it's good quality and worth the money haha.

I should have said, I already have the LG nanoLED 55". It's at my office not being used (I bought it as a signage display but since changed to something else) hence why I thought it'd make sense to use that.
