Remote not pairing

Had replacement Glass tv yesterday set it up but remote did pair to tv but now can't use voice command on remote or ask glass tv to find my remote but when I press 7 & 9 together nothing happens, if I factory reset tv the remote will pair but after set up it says your not connected press 1 & 3 together but if phone sky they just tell me how to unpair it & pair it again

Hi @ScottishClaymore The following is a variation on the usual pairing method and it's one that Sky suggested a few years ago when I first got a Glass TV and was having issues (they referred to it as a hard remote reset).  It's worth a try.

 

With Glass turned off at the wall:

Hold 4 & 6 for 10 seconds

Hold 7 & 9 for 10 seconds

Turn on TV wait for it to reboot & go to homepage

Hold 1 & 3 until it says it is connected

@Fothergill1  That way you said to try it worked but after 20 minutes tried voice command then that message came on top of screen To use voice control, you need to set up remote. Press 1 & 3 at same time etc

Sounds like a defective remote to me ..... do you have a spare you can try ?

That was only remote I had but someone on here have said in another discussion about fill in a form to get new remote so I'll wait until then

Hi @ScottishClaymore If your Glass TV is still under warranty then you might qualify for a replacement.  You can request one using the following link : Streaming TV replacement remote 

 

The form will make you sign into your MySky account and I imagine Sky will check to see if you are still within the 24 month warranty period.

I've received about hour ago a replacement remote for my Glass tv it connected but then voice command wouldn't work and had that thing at top of screen & I did turn tv off and press 4&6 , 7&9 for 10 seconds and then when tv came back to homepage to press 1&3 so still no response so do you both think it could be software issue or do I need to get tv replaced again
