Re: Received an Offer!
Always worth giving Stream a try if you're interested in the service - it's the only real way to know if it'll work for you or not. Some people love it, others hate it. Some people have a near flawless experience, others have a terrible one. Give it a go!

Re: Received an Offer!
Anyway my thread was jumped on too quickly so "Sky Glass".
What have you noticed as improvements from 1 in your personal experience? From what I could see the picture does look more natural it isn't OLED obviously but pretty good. Is there shadowing, ghosting or marble effect especially with blacks?
And on general performance is the OS stable these days? From my neighbours experience this week Playlist and Continue Watching even 3 years on still has issues or not....
Any niggles still or are they mostly put to bed?
understand if you'd rather answer privately.

Re: Received an Offer!
Im not the best to ask about picture quality ! ...... compared to gen 1 its sharper brighter and less shadowy and the viewing angle is much more forgiving.
as you know you can tinker with the screen settings to your hearts content as the ultra vivid mode does seem a little to garish on most channels / apps. Oddly the picture varied from app to app but I guess that's down to the transmission format etc .
somewhere in this forum is a mini review I did ..... I'll try and find it and link it in here.
sound is definitely an improvement .... no more buzzing on low frequencies. UI is faster etc
I would say I ve never experienced any issues with the CW rail apart from its very annoying that it doesn't show Disney shows.

Re: Received an Offer!
@Gincap If the message was open no one would be able to read it, it was already posted, it's that simple. If it wasn't it can't be moved.

Re: Received an Offer!
I posted and within seconds went in and was amending as I was adding more info and went to post I was locked out. Just admit you actioned a change within seconds if it was vile racist I'd understand but really.
I've moderated forums myself we always allowed at least 10 minutes prior to moving a post as often the author may return to amend spelling or something that doesn't scan correctly. Give it a go!

Re: Received an Offer!
@Gincap The system doesn't recognise if a posted post is then being edited, so once it's posted it can be moved regardless of anyone going back in to edit. There ae no rules to say we have to wait 10 minutes to move a post. So we don't.

Re: Received an Offer!
So you've answered it give a poster a few moments to check their post before taking action then move it there is no need to action within 30 seconds of posting unless it is abusive, racist etc when yes shut it down immediately.
Just be realistic and acknowledge you locked and moved that post within seconds. Plus your sarcastic comment of is there a question was not justified. Flipping heck we are Sky customers looking for advice and help.

Re: Received an Offer!
Thanks for your prompt reply very much appreciated. The offer today was welcomed but I don't want to jump and be burnt so sleep on it.
The only reason I'm looking at a Glass TV again is the bedroom one is on the fritz and glass do offer some nice colours that fit well in a bedroom with next to no wiring. So I'd go puck in the living room and kitchen.

I've got the blue gen 2 but the best colour I've seen is the green glass air.

Re: Received an Offer!
I'm paying £3.99 for Now Cinema but of course Paramount is extra at £4.99 for HD I got a 12 month offer with Tesco or something can't remember so Sky is pretty similar price. Sport I have at £19.99 with Sky offer £19.00.
I've been in chat with Now and they confirmed I can cancel Now (sport is on a 12 month deal) if switching to Sky as they are the same company.
I'm popping into Cardiff tomorrow will take a look at colours before any decisions made.
Thanks again and the sun is shining in Porthcawl so get down to the seafront 😉
