Problems reconnecting to Sky Glass in the morning after turning internet off at night

Hello, I prefer to turn the internet off at night to help teenagers sleep , however every morning after switching it back on, Sky Glass struggles to reconnect to the internet .

I have to reset it and disconnect the TV at the socket in order for the TV to reconnect to the internet.

Is there an easier way of doing this so that the TV automatically reconnects once I have switched the internet back on ? Thanks Heather

Hi @Heather72

Routers are designed to be switched on 24/7. Turning WiFi off may be impacting the speeds you are getting depending on which broadband product you have. You would be better using an ISP who offers the ability to implement restrictions / parental controls per device such as Sky or EE. You may so be delaying you glass getting updated as this usually takes place overnight.

You can try going into settings and turning on Network Standby mode in start up and standby and see if that helps.
