Problem with sound

I am trying to "add" dolby atmos sound on my gen 1 Sky glass TV as I use an external sound bar with dolby atmos so can I add the HDMI eARC option to do this or do I need to replace the TV?

One of the ports is an eARC so you can plug in there and then change your audio output in settings to eARC.

The built in soundbar is Atmos though, so you shouldn't NEED an external one unless you're unsatisfied with the built in bar.

Re: Problem with sound

Thanks Andrew but the eARC option is not available and I paid a lot for the soundbar.

Have you tried HDMI2? That should be the eARC port.

Re: Problem with sound

Yes I have Andrew, it's the only one that works for my soundbar.

I can't see that pic just yet. Perhaps I've mis understood the question though, sorry if I have. Could you rephrase it please?

I see the pic now, that first option is for eARC. In Settings at the bottom of home make sure the output is set to eARC mode.

Again, sorry if I'm solving the wrong problem here, I do think we might be on different wavelengths so correct me if I'm on the wrong track here and I'll try to help.

As well as described above having your TV port and its setting set correctly, as well as selecting Dolby in the puck settings.
You will also need the UHD and Dolby pack added to your subscription.

You will be able to check if you have that or can add it in the MySky app or your MySky account online, under Your products >Manage home setup.

Re: Problem with sound

I don't know how to "adjust" the puck and I doubt it will make a difference as the eARC would be the best option but I don't have it on the TV unfortunately but thank you for the suggestion.

@doginhat I think @lettice meant Glass settings rather than Puck.

You do this in Settings at the bottom of your Home Screen.

All Sky Glass TVs have eARC, so you definitely have it. It's port HDMI2 and when enabled as your output settings on the Settings section it will take over from your built in speaker.

Regarding the photo you attached, you'd need to select the top option.

Is there a reason why you are saying your TV doesn't have it? Is it not selectable on the user interface perhaps?
