PLAYLIST NOT PLAYING TODAY

I am new to this.

I want to watch the lunchtime news on BBC1.

I picked the news programme from the TV guide and pressed the + button.

When I went into my Playlist later it offered me all the lunchtime newses for several days ahead, but NOT today's programme to watch.

Am I missing something?

Hi @GJW76 I have never been able to get the BBC or ITV news (National or Regional) to play from my playlist.

However, if you go into the BBC iPlayer app and select categories and then news you will find today's news there.  Note, it may not be there immediately but I have just checked and today's 1pm news is showing.

Edit - I should have mentioned that the same applies to ITVX but instead of one broadcast it is broken down to the different stories.  Unfortunately my regional news is always a day behind.

That is a BBC themselves managed rights issue on their content.

They delay the availability of the on demand version (thus playlist added as well as in iPlayer) local broadcasts, sometimes not appearing for viewing till later in the day.

They will then appear in the playlist, the lunchtime 10 minute and evening 27 minute versions a short amount of  previous days.

For ITV local news content, ITV do not ever have more than one current local region bulletin in ITVX. You can find that under the News section. It is dependant what you see there dependant on your set postcode in the ITVX app, so you will see three or four of your local regions each with a single news bulletin.
Adding the ITV local news bulletin to your playlist is a waste of time as it gets removed from view after broadcast and there is no On demand placement at a later date.

I enjoy ITV local news bulletin in the early evening.

What I do is record the bulletin each night to a recordable usb via my Smart TV.

The recording originates from my old satellite dish that used to be for Sky Q and is now connected to the Smart TV satellite tuner.

I have in the past recorded content from rewind TV in the past, using the same method.
