Nintendo switch

Ive got a nintendo switch and trying to set it up in the dock to play on sky glass.

It's not working in ans HDMI slot. It's recognising something is plugged in, but nothing coming up on the TV. It's a brand new switch, so can't be a problem with the cables. Really frustrating and can't seem to find any answers Online.

You could try it in HDMI #3 with the compatibility switch toggled in the Glass settings.

Re: Nintendo switch

Tempted to suggest the issue might be the HDMI cable if you're getting the same result on all three of the HDMI ports on your Glass TV, with or without the compatibility setting..

Got a Switch OLED here connected on HDMI 1 on our 43" Glass TV(Apple TV is on HDMI 2), which works quite happily. Can confirm that the Switch definitely works with Glass TV ok.

Re: Nintendo switch

Thank you, I'll try with a different cable just now and see if it works. Strange as the switch is brand new and it is showing that's it's recognised in the ports when going to the apps/inputs on the telly, its just not streaming. The joys of technology eh🤣

Mine works fine although I had to plug it all in then put it on the correct hdmi channel then boot the switch from off to on and let it start up

Although the additional bandwidth isn't needed, some users have had more success with HDMI 2.1 cables ('8K'-rated).  There's no need to pay silly prices though: Amazon Basics cable (or their equivalent) is fine as long as it meets the manufacturing standard.
