New home, when do I let you know?

I am moving into my first home, I do not have an account with sky but would like to set one up. If i want it in ASAP. How early before move in date do I need to let you know?

Which Sky service? Broadband or TV?

Which TV service? TV via satellite (Sky Q) or via broadband (Sky Stream or Sky Glass).

All have different timescales for installation/delivery.

I'm not in the house yet, we are still going through the process. I am just trying to be prepared and want to know roughly how far in advance I should reach out

Hi @JIM290722

Yes I misread the post. If you go on the Sky website and enter the address for broadband it should give you an activation date. It's usually around 10 days. Sky Glass can be delivered in a few days. However it might be worth considering your own TV and Sky stream. Make sure you do your research. Pucks can be delivered as little as next day.

Broadband will potentially take longest depending on the type you want and whether the new property has had it from Sky before. Full fibre needs an Openreach engineer to attend for installation and this can take between a week and a month depending on where you are.

I'd second the advice on Sky Glass - better, more versatile TVs are available for a lot less money, but if the aesthetic and long term payment plan appeal then it can be a reasonable choice. Sky Stream will give you the same streaming TV experience on any TV of your choosing.

A Glass TV can be delivered within a few days, a Stream puck can be delivered next day. Both rely entirely on a fast and stable broadband network to function so this needs to be in place beforehand.

It would be silly to order Glass before moving in, but broadband absolutely must be ordered weeks in advance.  I'd suggest keeping the two things separate.

Re: New home, when do I let you know?

Have Sky stopped doing the deal for Sky BB FTTP + a Sky Puck for ~£40, that and a good good quality TV would give you what you want .... and would be better than a GlassTV😉
