Need new power cable

Hi I require a new power cable to supply power to my sky glass. Sky protect are unable to do this and have given me this procedure to follow in order to receive a new power cable.

Any mains cable with the figure 8 connector will suffice.

The Glass power lead is a standard IEC C7 'figure-8' which is widely and cheaply available online in a variety of lengths and even different colours.  If you really want a Sky branded cable (which isn't anything special) then there are usually dozens on eBay for a few pounds each.

Posting to this forum won't get one from Sky, and I suspect you may be waiting rather a long time for delivery even if you phone them.

@TimmyBGood Thank you I did wonder if those other alternatives would work and yes I've been round the houses with sky protect and can't get to speak to someone from sky about the issue but you have indeed worn your cape today superhero thanks again.
