My remote control isn't working properly.

My remote control isn't working properly. Half the time I have to take the batteries out and put them back in to make it work, then it still doesn't work half the time. I've tried unplugging the tv several times which sometimes works. Also the batteries seem to be running out quicker as time goes on. Can you send me a replacement please?
