My Sky Glass Remote is Problematic

My remote is very temperamental. sometimes does not respond at all no matter what button I press. Sometimes the volume goes to max and the only thing I can do to stop it from doing this is to switch the TV off by the power socket switch. The batteries are new.  it is really annoying - any ideas?

Log it with Sky and insist on a replacement: all Glass hardware is still within its initial two year warranty.
