@Reevo87   The picture quality looks pretty good and I love the colour of the TV.

As I suspected the green looks 🔥!!!

I have the blue gen 2 which is also really nice and different

hats off to sky for at least doing something different with the tv colours !!!!! Don't see that from many manufacturers

We have just taken delivery of the Glass Air in the sea green, we opted for one for our bedroom and it's perfect for that use, I think the stand is better on this than the Gen2, seems more sturdy.

One negative point is it seems very laggy between menus, have to keep on pressing the remote and it's slow to react, might just be a case of a re boot.

That's interesting, you have found it a bit laggy @Reevo87 for me, i've felt the navigation has been slightly snappier than my Sky Stream puck,

I certainly agree with you @Reevo87 that the stand appears to be sturdy. I don't have a Gen 2 myself to compare properly, but I've read reports on this forum from customers saying the Gen 2 is quite wobbly on the stand, which I don't seem to experience with the Air.

That green certainly looks better than I initially thought it would.

I do like the various colour options Sky provides with the Glass as for me anything that gives customers additional choices is a good thing.

Re: My Sky Glass Air Review

The stand only appears more sturdy because the TV itself is much lighter than Glass. The stand is flimsy, but the TV is light so it works out I guess. And yes, it is laggy navigating through the menus. I have pucks, Glass and Air and Air is by far the worst. Almost like its processor is underpowered.

A few more pictures of the sea green, colouring matches well with the room.

Re: My Sky Glass Air Review

@MarkGoldsmith My puck never really lagged but the Air does a lot, the issue I had with the puck was connectivity and it would disconnect from the internet or say no WiFi etc, the Air has been spot on so far and it's in the same location so I'm now wondering was it a faulty puck.

For a bedroom TV it's spot on, does the basics very well, decent picture, sound is ok and with the Sky OS it's the everything you would expect, coming away from a LG 65 inch in my bedroom it makes me appreciate my Gen2 downstairs more now.

The Gen2 is a much heavier unit so does feel un sturdy and almost top heavy for the stand, I think the stand design aspect on this is poor and you are probably better suited to wall mount it, the Air is more leaner and thinner and not as heavy so agreed it feels more sturdy on the stand.

Sky Glass Gen2 65"
Sky Air 43" in bedroom
LG 65" TV with Puck in spare room.

Broadband with Seethelight as on new build estate that does not support Sky.

Re: Sky Glass Air

Well my Glass Air arrived this afternoon and so far I can't fault it, was very easy to assemble and account syncing to my Glass downstairs was straight forward - All profiles/playlists pulled across

The TV (55inch) is still a heavy piece of equipment compared to the numerous Samsung I've had through the years

The Glass Air is in the bedroom so will only have limited use - Picture settings on auto seem suffice at this stage.

The sound initially is totally different from the glass downstairs - The speakers are at the back of the TV so it just projects differently, not in a bad way I my add. Speech is clear and it's certainly loud enough for what we will need

All in I'm happy - Last couple of Samsungs just haven't lasted and at £10 a month it was a no brainer

Re: My Sky Glass Air Review

We previously had an LG OLED 65 inch, but the motherboard started to fail and then it stopped working completely. With a wedding coming up for now I just got the Sky air 65 inch .

obviously it's not an OLED however I have two older TVs, one a Samsung and one an LG both LED TVs and they both seem to have a better picture. The Sky Air is ok for certain programs , for example a nature program it seemed sharp and clear but for Love island ( yes I know ) it has like a fog on it, almost milky . F1 just looked terrible , everything was harsh looking .

I know I can manually swap modes and I can customise but two questions .

does the " custom " setting only adjust the " custom " setting or does it customise the preset settings.

secondly does anyone have a manual picture set up to get the best out of the picture.

thanks

@Richard+Tindall one thing to try is to turn the auto backlight adjustment off. I've noticed that can play up quite a bit and get the backlight level completely wrong at times thus affecting the picture.

Re: My Sky Glass Air Review

Now I'm back from holiday , I've seen that this can be turned off in " custom settings " but does this change apply to all the picture settings , such as vivid, auto etc  or do I need to stay on " custom" ? Thanks
