Most apps slow since moving broadband to Sky
Hi,
Recently changed to Sky Broadband Max and have subsequently been having issues with the performance of many of the apps (Netflix, Paramount+, Amazon, 4 etc).
My wifi performance is generally good. The router is next to my TV which is using a Sky Glass puck, with the main Glass TV being in the next room.
I have rebooted everything, reset the puck, refreshed the apps but to no avail. Any ideas?

Re: Most apps slow since moving broadband to Sky
What kind of performance apps are you having., are they not loading or are stuttering when playing?
Can you watch live TV channels and Sky On demand ok, with no issues, freezes or regular error messages?
Can you do a network speed test on your Puck and Sky Glass TV, assume both are having the problem.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say a few minutes between tests.
What is your speed?
You mention your router is close to your TV.
Its probably a good idea to place your router so it's not near any other devices, ideal is about six feet away at best, maybe a bare minimum of four feet away.
Devices that can cause such interference are TVs, Sky boxes, cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors smart meter in home displays and the like.
Having a good local network broadband reach is key to Sky Stream and Sky Glass.
Not just broadband speed to your house and router, but for your local network supply via wifi or ethernet, that can be affected in a busy household.
It may also be suffering from interference, the puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. Wood is generally the best.
Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, smart meter in home displays, microwaves and the like.
You should be using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.
My good journey to Sky Stream from Sky Q. Click here to read
