Issues with sky glass

We have had sky glass since last July, within 2 weeks I rung sky to complain about (what I thought at the time was) the internet. After numerous calls and resets of the sky glass tv and broadband etc it would work. At this point I should say that our sky glass would just hang or skip, particularly with channel 4 app. In November I called again(my monthly complaint) and they said that my internet was not good enough and needed the super fast fibre connection. After waiting until march to get it fitted we finally had it done and still problems with connection to the tv and the channel 4 app but also

netflix. Called again in june and was sent a replacement router. Although it made the internet faster on other devices still not sorted out sky glass issue. Finally they replaced the sky glass tv, fingers crossed is seems a bit better, however my question is (finally, long story I know) we still have issues with channel 4 app where every day we will lose the ability to pause and rewind etc, and have to do a software reset on the tv to get it to work again. Has anyone had any positives with sky glass? We had sky q before this and never had a problem. I stupidly wanted to upgrade to sky glass, but I really wish I had never ever done it, let alone the extra costs etc (now up to £99 a month with broadband) just on basic package with Netflix, no sports or cinema etc.

I have heard you can go back to sky q and just use the sky glass tv as a slave device to show it. Any thoughts? Although if I hadn't got into a contract with the sky glass tv I would send it back!!!!

Re: Issues with sky glass

Are you including purchase of the TV in that £99?

The Sky TV service + BB should cost anywhere near £99🤔

Can you confirm your internet connection speed measured using the Netflix network check on the Sky Glass TV?

Re: Issues with sky glass

Yes that covers the £19 a month for the tv. Netflix speed check averages out at 60mbps.

Re: Issues with sky glass

So you are paying £80 for Sky TV and BB?

That seems excessive🤔

Connection speed seems adequate. Do you have a backup streaming device does the  app  run better on that?

Re: Issues with sky glass

Yes am running channel 4 app on laptop and that is fine. I will definitely be looking to either go back to sky q or leave sky completely on January as i think we are paying too much and they have not been very forthcoming with compensation for nearly a years worth of poor service.

Re: Issues with sky glass

Do you pay for ad skipping ... the only compensation with regard the 4 app would be very very small dependent on Sky's payments to Channel 4 to alllow fast forwarding through Channel 4's ads🤔
