Issues after Sky Glass installation

My elderly father has taken a skyglass subscription. However after the citifibre engineer attended and replaced the router there have been issues. The phone line is now dead and can't ring in or out. Also the engineer suggested a sky operative would attend and finish the set up process in a couple of days. Also stated the TV would be running through the old system until an engineer came Due to being in another part of the UK I can't attend and sort things out for him. It could be that he's got something wrapped around his neck. This is causing upset for my father. He lives alone and has no family nearby . Either way leaving an elderly man without a phone is not acceptable . Can someone suggest what he can do, as at the moment nothing will get done until I can get to his house.

You need to plug your phone into the back of the router where it  says uk phone socket, has  you are now on full fibre broadband and your old phone socket and line will  not work anymore

To avoid confusion when talking with Sky support, 'Sky Glass' is a Sky-branded television with a streaming content subscription.

What you are describing is FTTP Sky Broadband over a CityFibre optical circuit and its associated Sky Talk Internet Calls service.

Note that there's no Sky installer attendance to set up Sky Glass: it has a different business and support model to the legacy satellite platforms.
