Is it possible to force UHD content to HD instead?

Had the Sky Glass 2 TV for 10 days now and it is clear we have been sold a pup.

This TV runs 4K HDR content like a 10 year old PC runs the latest video games - awfully. I groan every time I see something is presented in UHD as it is just awful quality, washed out and dreary.

Is there a way to force everything back down to HD?

Why not return the TV & buy a better quality smart TV instead? Why pay hundreds of pounds for something that doesn't function as well as you'd hoped?

Re: Is it possible to force UHD content to HD instead?

My wife is delighted with the one box solution and it is great for non 4k HDR content. We got a decent package deal with the TV included and I cannot be bothered with the fuss of taking it off the wall, returning it, renegotiating contact with Sky, purchasing a replacement TV, buying a new sound bar getting it all fitted etc, etc.

I will be happy with the simplest solution of just switching off the HDR stuff that the TV cannot handle.

In that case just cancel the UHD add on. And it'll save you money as well. 😁
