every morning remote wont turn on tv but side button will

@ckd73 so that sounds like an issue with the remote rather than the Glass.

 

Check out the following suggestions:

 

Check the batteries
An easy way to check is to cover the buttons slightly on your Sky remote with your hand. You should see a white backlight behind the buttons. If you don't see the backlight the issue is the power with the remote, so potentially a battery issue.

Check the battery compartment to make sure the paper used to protect the battery has been fully removed. It might have ripped when being removed leaving some behind.

Still can't see the backlight? It’s likely you need to replace the two AAA batteries.

Pair the remote

Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (bluetooth mode) and follow any on-screen instructions.

The next option sounds insane but a number of users have reported it resolving the issue with their remotes. You could try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a towel. It

If you have an old Sky Q remote, you can use that as an interim solution whilst you await the new remote.

remote works fine after tv has started on a morning but next day same thing happens

This is the exact issue I have.

 

Try and disable the overnight power save and see how that goes for a few days.

 

The issue went away for me when I disabled it.

 

I re-enabled it the other day and the issue has come back.

I was having to power cycle my Sky Glass everyday too 

 

The other thing I've personally noticed since the last 2 firmware updates, 

all my UHD channels take longer to buffer up than previously but when I'm watching an

UHD channel ( sky sports UHD channels or TNT ultimate) the Home button and menu system is very unresponsive, I normally suffer alot of freezing when trying to scroll with my remote.

 

This doesn't happen with any HD or SD channels

 

My broadband is Vodafone fibre 900MB using a Draytek router without an issue before the latest 2 updates

Well it worked for one day but this morning back to normal won't switch on with remote. I am absolutely sick of it

Did you ever find a fix as we have just got ours and it's doing exactly the same?! It's infuriating.
