I can't bare gameshows either. I see their appeal to some, but they're so cheaply made these days just to fill in the schedules that I find them insufferable.
I guess the OP's old Virgin service may have had worse picture quality that Sky Stream's output, hence them never noticing it before. If there's one thing that Stream can do well, it's produce a pretty decent, sharp image.
