Discovery plus

Have discovery plus through sky cinema. But cannot watch anything. Says need to upgrade?

Hi @Miff1971 and welcome to the forum

Did you move from Sky Q or any other Sky product to Stream as if so all your Marketplace subscriptions are cancelled so you have to re-register (see the THIS link) 

 

You can register or re-registered (as appropriate) by doing the following:  Use the voice command "My Sky" and then select the following:  your products / (enter your PIN) / App Subscriptions / Current / and then Discovery + Monthly. Hopefully it will say £0 per month whilst you have a Sky TV subscription.  If so select Activate subscription.

You don't get Discovery+ + through Sky Cinema, you get Paramount+ + included with Sky Cinema.

 

Discovery + is included with the base Sky TV subscriptoin ( albeit the base Discovery + tier, so no sports content on it).

Even so, I've activated my account through sky. But when I try to watch anything, it says I need to upgrade.?

I didn't move over from anything. I got a sky glass and took up the offer. Activated my account and everything through sky. When I try to watch anything. It says I need to upgrade as I'm on basic?

Hi @Miff1971 did you try the suggestion in post 2 above.  If so and it didn't help I would call Sky for some more troubleshooting.

 

For the customer services phone number follow this link https://www.sky.com/help/home and scroll down to need more help, click on this and you will see an 0333 phone number to use to call Sky. Unfortunately I cannot include the actual phone number as the forum filters will block it.

You're not trying to watch TNT Sports are you? The basic Discovery+ tier through Sky doesn't include TNT Sports.
