Yawn - not great content, can't remember the last time I used the app, especially as the decent content is already on Sky.  @Jporch316 Paramount + bet you thought it was a Discovery! 😀

You can now access the Eurosport content on the Sky Discovery+ app but you may have to re-activate the app - pretty simple scan the QI code and enter the on screen number into a web page. The Australian Open tennis qualifying games are there.

We are told this is not a time limited offer so is probably the result of a deal between Sky and Warnet Discovery. However given the joint venture Warner have with BT Sport some of the content might go back behind a paywall when that launches.

Finally!

Added the sport sub last Jan without realising I couldn't watch the Sport content - had long ago cancelled and was due to expire in a couple of weeks.

Just in time for the new Formula E season and at no extra cost too! No more need to use Channel 4s poor quality YouTube feeds!

Now, if only I could add Discovery content to my playlist - hope that's coming soon.

I'm in the same situation as you @SlenderRobert. I was given free Discovery + when with Sky Q which they renewed it for another 12 months a few months ago.

As the new Glass offer is not time restricted I'm wondering if they will renew my existing offer or just let it run on when it expires. Although I do watch some things on Discovery + I would not bother with a subscription.

Wow, I have just noticed the photo in post 14 by @Chrisee and thought, my Discovery + doesn't look like that so I went to the App and found I had to log in again and see the it has been updated 😀. At least it kept "My list" and "Continue Watching".

Re: Discovery plus on Glass and stream now FREE

I've tried to do this and I'm not getting an option to sign up for free. I did have the 12 month free when that was offered over a year ago, but trying to sign back in and up now it's not showing as free.

also the app isn't showing in my sky section of the sky q menu.

is it just because it's only gone live today so I have to wait for it to update?

EE are also giving discovery+ free with BT Sport too. Maybe they don't see it as a money maker on its own.

@Ann86 suggest you post in the Sky Q forum rather than in this thread which is discussing the Sky Stream/Glass system. The offer is apparently not available to customers on the Sky `Essential package. When anything odd like apps disapearing happens its worth rebooting the box by switching off the power for 30nseconds

@Fothergill1 as I understand it the new permanent arrangementvreplaces the time limited offer as of now. There appears to be a requirement to re-sctivate the app to see the Sports content if the app doesnt require you to do so log out manually and log back in again.

The sports content was available to me on Stream without having to re-activate the app. My access was a carry over from Q and seems to have continued without any issue. There was a new 'terms and conditions' thing to click on when it started yesterday but no requirement to log in again or re-activate anything. It was also working on all other non-Stream versions of the app (Firestick, Apple TV, Samsung TV app and via the website.)

Interestingly it still offers me the chance to add a Discovery+ sub for free via the Marketplace on the MySky section of the Stream UI, even though I already have it...

@SlenderRobert Interesting that you did not need to log in again.  I have Discovery + through ny old Sky Q subscription but had to log in again.

Re: Discovery plus on Glass and stream now FREE

All set up and ready to go for something I'll probably never use alongside Lionsgate 🤣

@Anonymous I tend to agree about Lionsgate.  I had a look a couple of days ago and didn't see anything I wanted to watch that I couldn't find elsewhere.  I do watch the odd thing on Discovery + but certainly wouldn't pay for the privilege. Lack of interesting content is probably why they are giving it away for free 😀
