Disappointed

I thought this was going to be fabulous just like on the advert.. well boy oh boy how wrong I was.. I have ultra fast 300 broadband (different supplier) but still the tv freezes and has to be switched off and start again.. trying to rewind live tv.. often ends up causing it to malfunction and the screen goes black so i have to turn it off and start over.. because theres no record option and i have a memory like tissue paper ive missed most of my usual shows..the quality is nothing compared to what I had b4.. I've lost so many channels..  where did all the music channels go??.. the tv is just a glorified puck.. you can't smart view your phone to it.. the sound is just basic.. my other tv sounds the same.. I'm so gutted..  think ile look into virgin tv..

If you've had the TV for less than 31 days then you can return it. If you've had it longer then you'll need to give Sky a chance to help rectify some of the issues you're having. If you follow their troubleshooting and you still can't get a good enough streaming TV experience then they have in the past allowed customers to return the TV outside the cooling off period, but this is based on individual circumstances.

Re: Disappointed

  • Unfortunately I have Android..  but my solution has been to swap the downstairs sky glass tv for my uhd 65in smart tv form bedroom.. and use a puck with it downstairs with my soundbar..and the simpler glass upstairs. The sound wasn't the issue anyways.. I should of read everything.. my own fault.. the pictures and sound were all better with sky q.. streaming isn't consistent..

Re: Disappointed

Hi I've been reading your post and all I can say is I feel your pain and more on top I took the sky glass and the entire package two years ago just over and it's not being right in the entire two years this is gone wrong that's gone wrong this is glitched that's frozen that's not working properly the internet wasn't strong enough you name it I've added 10 fold. I ring sky at least once or twice a week I've had every software update known to man sky and some no-one's even though nothing helps nothing makes a difference, I've had two or three replacement remotes new leads engineers come down upgraded my broadband to a point I have five times the strength that I need but still described glass keeps glitching on a daily basis to the point I have to unplug it just to get it to work. I should never have been sold it as it's not fit for purpose. All sky want me to do is to constantly try different updates of software and even though I've done it before a full factory reset which doesn't work. And what makes things even more annoying from six months in I asked to have my TV replaced in case it was a hardware issue and I was constantly fogged off with no sir let's try this first let's try this and that which doesn't work and then when I finally got a sky person to agree to ok let's look into it they then told me my warranty had expired by two days, now I don't know about the rest of you but that just tells me I was fobed off for over a year so that they didn't have to give me a new TV and I also found out a replacement TV is not a brand new one it's a reconditioned one so they can't even be bothered to keep their customers happy at all waste of time I should never of come from Virgin to sky. Biggest mistake I ever made and yes if you're any of you are saying I'm a fool to still be with them good luck to anybody who's going through what I am I personally wouldn't recommend any of their products to my dog. 😡
