Connecting Bose TV speaker

I have sky stream and a Bose TV speaker. The Bose is connected to the TV using HDMI ARC. I can do everything aside from turning off the TV with my Sky remote. Can anyone help? Thanks

Have you tried a long press of the power button on the Stream remote?
