That's always happened on the ITV X app at times and is an issue with the app rather than the Sky service. 

For those that don't have ad skipping it's typically better as the blank screen usually doesnt last as long as a couple of minutes of ads playing out 😀.

Hi all,

This thread specifically is around issues with ads on Live channels rather than in app. 

If you are finding you are getting live channel black screens after ads, can you get me the channel & a timestamp you have seen this happen?  

If the issue you are seeing is specific to apps then I recommend starting a new thread for that 🙂

• As of today 17th Oct my sky puck has started to go blank on adverts and some programs I can't even get them to start. The timer on the TV is moving but screen stays blank and as mentioned by another customer I am have to toggle up and down to get the program to start. Please help.

Hi @Goldeb2209 

Can you confirm if this was On Demand or Live TV?  Also can you provide some timestamps of when you seen the issue along with the channel and programme being watched if Live TV?

No the problem is still there! ITVx in my case on the puck.

Yes, black screen on ITVX at ad break, ad skipping is being paid for, happens on the on demand.

Thos has been happening to me for the past few days and it's driving me mad. I watching Banshee on sky Atlantic on sky glass, it keeps cutting to adverts mid conversation and then  goes black the same as everyone else,I am missing half of each episode,season 1-3 was perfect but season 4 it is so frustrating

My issue has changed, after adverts the sounds and picture move about 1 second apart. Changing channels up and down fixes it. Adverts cause it.
