Channel turns screen blank on every advert break

Still happening on any sky channel. Ad break and screen goes blank. Change chanel to get back. Been going on for days and sky dont seem to know anything about it. 

whats the point of these chats if even more annoying, is there us no response to say being looked into etc

been a sky customer 22 years. Dont think will be much longer

We have the same issue. Watching various channels and screen suddenly goes blank and no sound. Changing up or down a channel and it all comes back then return to the channel we were watching and it's ok again.

Yup - been happening here too for days now and seems to be getting worse.  Sky Sports News is virtually unwatchable. Every Ad break - screen goes blank and I have to switch channel and switch back.  Seemed to conincide with Ads mysteriously cutting themselves off short a week or so back.  Thought it might be my Sky Glass 55" since that's been pretty glitchy and unreliable since day 1

Hi All, I did a complete system reset and this seems to have solved the issue I was having. The steps are below, but note that you will need to sign in to most things again once completed. This did actually prompt software updates too; so maybe it's an issue with the Sky Glass software.

1. Press and hold the Standby button  on the right-hand side of the Sky Glass TV and turn off the power at the mains socket.
2. Keeping your finger on the button, switch the power back on at the main plug and wait until you see the LED lights flash, then remove your finger.

 Maybe try this, it seems to have worked for me.

I spoke too soon. The 3rd set of adverts in and it's started to do it again!! So not the solution I'd hoped. Apologies.

 Clearly an issue Sky need to investigate and solve!!

This is obviously an issue which doesn't have an easy 'fix'.

I think there have been enough 'examples', in this discussion, for Sky to let us know what course of action will be taken to resolve.

My sky glass is doing the same. I have to switch channel and go back to get the program back on.

I have the 55 inch. So regularly the channel freezes or goes black when switching or adverts. My wife is forever now saying worse decision moving to glass. Surely this is ongoing and should be getting a better service. Also noticed switching apps too such as sky to itv x. It's so annoying and not good service

So glad I found this thread as it is driving me mad... please sky, fix this soon, we have only noticed it on Sky channels and yes during ad breaks was so please with sky glass and to be honest lots of issues making me question my decision

This has started on my TV , started Yesterday and only seems to be on channel 409. 

Adverts start and half way through the screen goes black with no sound, if you go up and down a channel with voice or controller it works fine.

I have done a factory reset and stil an issue, I watched iplayer last nigth for hours without it happening, only seems to be on advert breaks as well , usually half way through an advert , last one was for inside out 2 movie
