Can't access subtitles on our tv despite trying all online solutions

Can't  access subtitles  despite them being  activated  and us trying all online solutions.

Usually a factory reset is required to get subtitles to function. Which is extremely annoying but unfortunately necessary in many instances. Sky have given no indication of why this happens as it has been reported many times before.

And note there aren't any subtitles on Sky UHD content.
