I appreciate similar Qs have been asked previously, however...
I have a (>10yr) Philips BDP 5200 which I cannot get Glass to recognise. I have bought an 8k certified HDMI v2.1 cable, in case old cables were the issue. I have tried the 'ancient-tech-compatibility' option within Glass' settings, none of which has worked.
I accept that my player is old, but want to:
A) ensure it is the player at fault
B) be reassured that what I replace it with will definitely work!
To that end, is there a current list of models guaranteed/known to work with Glass?
Thanks 😁

I would imagine most modern : new blu ray players will be fine
