Clearing browser cache and cookies for Sky websites

When you're using a browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox), it saves some information in its cache and cookies. These files can mount up and cause issues with websites, including loading speed, slow features and outdated information. 

 

If you're regularly experiencing a slow running or crashing browser, or difficulty loading our dedicated Sky websites, clearing your cache and cookies once a month fixes this!

 

How to clear your cache in Google Chrome

 
  1. Open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools. Then, Clear browsing data.
  4. You can choose a time range, so if you want to delete everything, select All time.
  5. Check the boxes named Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files 
  6. Click Clear data.
 

How to clear your cookies in Safari 

 
  1. Open Safari on your Mac.
  2. Choose Safari > Settings, then Privacy.
  3. Click Manage Website Data.
  4. Select the websites you want to clear, then click Remove or Remove All.

 

How to clear your cache & cookies in on Microsoft Edge

 
  1. Open Microsoft Edge
  2.  Go to Settings, then Privacy
  3. Select Clear browsing data, then select Ctrl+Shift+Del.
  4. You can also type edge://settings/clearbrowserdata in your address bar.

 

 

How to clear your cache & cookies in on Firefox

 
  1. Open Firefox
  2. In the Menu bar, click Firefox and select Preferences.
  3. Click the menu button. and select Settings.
  4. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  5. Click the Clear Data... button. The Clear Data dialog will appear. ...
  6. Click Clear.

 

Please note: Removing the data may reduce tracking, but may also log you out of websites or change website behaviour.
