VIP My Sky rewards for weekly treats at Sainsbury not working

Every time I try to use the free voucher for weekly treats at Sainsbury's as part of the VIP rrewards the voucher does not work and Sainsbury's will not honour it sayuing that it does not work and there is nothing they can do. This feels like a bit of a con and has caused me hassel whenever I have used it. The staff at my local Store have said there is no numbers under the bar code for them to enter it in the system manually if the barcode does not work. What is the point of having a rewards scheme if you cannot use it. I have also raised a compliant at Sainsbury's head office about this.

Back to square one the taste the difference pizza one didn't work .At the till the barcode scanned but then said coupon not accepted,tried it on 3 tills all the same then the 60 mins ran out so no treat from sky this week.

I have had same problems worked once out of 4 occasions The problem which prevents Sainsbury's helping is  that the voucher has no number as an alternative to the bar code , like most vouchers do so it cannot be entered manually by staff.

It shouldn't actually matter if there is no barcode to manually enter, checkout staff do have the capabilities of discounting items.

 

I've personally experienced this when an item I've scanned has rung up at a higher cost that the price advertised, and staff just login to the self service checkout and manually enter the discount/price adjustment.

 

Unfortunately the excuse of “sorry we can't do anything as there is no number to enter” primarily seems to be poorly trained or un-informed staff.

You can't make the staff give it you after they tried several times to scan it The fault is clearly an issue which the Sky VIp should address

the problem is if there isnt a number to enter , and staff just discount it , sainsburys pay the cost of offer not sky , hardly fair !

I agree as in the store I go to they were trained up on how the promotion works the staff member told me first week i went

Sky should address it but to be fair probably Sainsburys as well should address the issues to sky so they are aware
