Don't worry, it should be there, but you can check before you delete, just go into the App Store, click on your picture top right and select select purchased, then 'all'  instead of 'not on this phone' and check it shows there before you delete. 
It was almost at the bottom of the list for me.

Hi Dave thank you so much for your reply.

I followed your instructions and did find the Sky app in the list.

I clicked on it but it said "can't connect to app Stor"

didn't you get this message?

I thought it might be one of those glitches so I tried again later and got the same message.

Maybe check that your phone has been backed up to the cloud before deleting as that's where it'll download from. Possibly the error is because it can't find the app in the App Store anymore, but I didn't try clicking on it before deleting so I

Mine always backs itself up when charging so I would think that's automatic. 

After I deleted mine I got the cloud symbol in the apps list next to the Sky+ app and I just clicked on that.
