Hi,
I am looking for some help in using the new App now available for my Apple TV.
When I try to log in to the TV app as I do with my other Apple devices that I own it says:
Sorry, you can't watch Sky Go on Apple TV yet.
you'll need a Sky Q multiscreen or Sky Glass Whole Home subscription to access Sky Go on your Apple TV.
I have two questions.
1) What does yet mean.
2) How does a Sky+HD only customer get the access as Sky+HD is not mentioned in the Apple TV app.
Thanks

Thanks, but I am on a Sky+HD contract not Sky Q.
Can a Sky Q multiroom be placed on a Sky+HD account?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMultiroom is a package you can have only Sky HD+ account as well as this would mean you would have a second Sky HD+ box on your account. From what you are saying it appears you haven't go this so if so as it stands you will be unable to use the app on your Apple TV.

Thanks for the reply, no I am quite happy with using my Sky+HD box only. I do on occasion use Sky Go extra and do think that because of the differences in not being allowed by Sky to use the Sky Go Apple TV app version think that it should have been given a different name to help the Sky customer.
But thanks for your help in this.

I'm getting the same issue. I've bought this set up because it was apparently available now, however like you it's not available "yet".
can Sky please answer when you're going to release your strangle hold on this as it's a disgrace that we're paying £80+ a month and I can only watch sky on one tv in the house. Don't tell me buy multi room as SkyGo should be all I need. Times are hard, multi room is expensive. Sort it out Sky and let us know?

I have a Sky multi-room subscription but my dish is going to be out of action for a couple of months due to building work. Would SkyGo via an Apple TV give me a work around so I can still access Sky during this time? I was thinking of using the Apple TV to access SkyGo until the dish is re-connected. Thanks

Thanks Cesarome
I read somewhere that my Sky boxes will go inactive after a short period of time being disconnected from the dish (something to do with a periodic verification code being sent to them via the dish), do you know if this happens whether it will also impact on my Sky Go access?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreGood question, I'm not sure about this so unless someone else can reply it might be a case of seeing what happens, as far as I see it as long as you bills are up to date then I can't see why Sky Go would stop working.
