My Sky App

Hi looking for some help.

 

I have called Sky and got nowhere they don't seem to understand the problem...

 

My Sky mobile app won't work. Got a new iPhone 17 downloaded the app from the store.

 

When I try to log into the app for the first time set up, either while on home wifi with mobile, or with wifi switched off and only on 4g/5g mobile signal  the following happens...

 

On wifi, when I open the app, all I get is a blank white page apart from at the top of the app it says, Let's get you set up',

and at the bottom it says, 'Continue', within a blue band... When I press continue, the app loads a blank white page with,

id.sky.com, at the top and that's all nothing else there, just a blank white page.

 

On mobile only, having turned off the wifi, I open the app and get a warning that says, 'This Connection Is Not Secure', this websit does not support connecting securely over HTTPS...

 

I have uninstalled and re-downloaded the app multiple times, switched the phone off and on again mutilpe times, checked the app settings checked the phone settings...

 

It does'nt work.

 

Is there a problem with the app development at sky or something ?

Would suggest doing a browser cache refresh on your phone for your default set browser and phone reboot  as the MySky app can use your default browser defaults in the background.

Hello and thank you for the reply.

 

Yes I can sign ok on any browser and I have cleared all the caches.

Also updated the iOS, forced a refresh installed and un-installed... tried everything!

 

Gave up now I will wait and see if the app developers are needing to catch up.

 

Although, this would be very suprising considering sky is a mobile operator.

 

Who knows?

Are you using a VPN or the private relay function on your iPhone ?

Hello,

 

No VPN or private relay either.

 

I'm fairly perplexed with it!

 

Sky tech guys can't figure it out either.

 

My other halfs, My Sky App, works no problem on iPhone 14.

 

I have it in my mind that the App is not geared up fully for iPhone 17 iOS 26...

 

Either that or iOS has a problem!

I just rang up to complain (0330 041 3000) and eventually they admitted it is a known issue - and credited my account with £20.

 

They said it will be fixed by the end of October but admitted that the case was raised on their system on the 15th October - plenty of time to have fixed it already.

Hi I have had the exact same problem, for some 4-5 weeks now. I've emailed them and they just send you links but it's the app itself which is the problem. Before this I had no problems accessing the app and rewards (tho the coupons don't work in supermarkets and it's always difficult). I encountered the problem as I had to uninstall and reinstall. They've now raised a complaint on my behalf as I've tried everything they've said to no avail. It's nothing to do with storage or cookies. It doesn't even offer me a sign in box. Did you get anywhere? Their e-mail address is apps@sky.uk I will update when I hear back. As a Sky VIP I'd expect better.
