spam emails

I am receiving spam emails supposed to be from one of my contacts but it does not come from their email address that I contact them on.  This is the second time it has happpened and the addressess are different on the two emails.

When I was logged into my email account which is Yahoo through my Sky account I noticed in the top right corner an option to upgrade the yahoo app but I could not make head nor tails of what I needed to do hopefully someone can assist me Thank you

Mark the emails as spam so they get deleted out of your inbox.

If there is an update to the Yahoo email app then usually your device will update it automatically so you shouldn't have to do anything.

Re: spam emails

Thank you for getting back to me sorry Iwas late getting back with a response.  My emali is through Sky Yahoo and GMail is my recovery email for sky and I have had to set it up on my pc.

The emails I was refering to did actually get put in spam by Yahoo as there was a link on it that Yahoo did not like.

What concerns me more is how did the sender get my contacts name and know that we email each other.  If someone could mabye shed some light on that I would be grateful for any advice on what to do.  Thank you
