from Virginmedia to SKY
After over 20 years I am moving Broadband from Virgin to Sky - I am worried tho - I have 20 years worth of using my email address ending in @Virginmedia.com is there any way I can continue to use this email address if i keep accessing my email online? or do I need a brand new email address? if this is the case who do you suggest? yahoo/Gmail or other? Thanks

Re: from Virginmedia to SKY
Moving to Sky Broadband does not stop you from logging into to your online Virgin email account but what you do need to do is to check with Virgin is if they will keep your email address open if you are no longer a customer of theirs as a quick Google suggests that the email account with them is closed down about 90 days after you have left.
If you need a new email address I would recommend Gmail who in my view are far better than Yahoo.

Re: from Virginmedia to SKY
@Carolinekenny check with Virgin Media what their policy is on continuing with their email service after you've cancelled your subscription. Some providers automatically close your email account at some point, either immediately you've left or a certain time after you've been gone. Others charge a fee to continue your email service.
I agree with @caesarome that Gmail is a good (better?) alternative to Virgin.
