email hyjacked

Hello
My email  has been hijacked.
Everyday i have to create a new password.
I had to use a gmail account because Sky mail does not allow me to send emails
Everyday (by the end of the day) i have over 1000 drafts that obviously i did not create.I have also formatted the computer but, my laptop has the same problem.Its definitely the email that is compromised.What do i do?Please help

You either need to be using a laptop or PC or if using a mobile make sure it is in desktop mode so give this a try:

Login to your online account:

 

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/


Go to Settings (the screw icon on the right hand side) > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

 

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

 

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

 

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

If you do set this up it in important that you make a note of and keep safe the recovery code.

I suspect whoever gained access to your email credentials is now using a generated password to gain continued access to your account, despite you changing the password.

 

You'are not the only person with this problem, there are a couple of others, for instance:

You could ask Sky to remove all generated passwords from your account, as they removed to ability for us to do it ourselves, but I doubt you will be able to find an agent who will understand what you want.

 

Can I just ask why is it you are having to create new passwords every day?

I have to generate a new password everyday because everyday i get a msg saying password incorrect.

I use a very strong password generator and the 2 step veryfication.

 

My life is on that accountfor the past 20 years. I am really desperate

Does that message say Yahoo suspended it?

What happened when you did as advised to do and contacted Sky, if you are yet to do this just say your ID has been locked.

It's impossible to contact them by phone.

I got an awnser from India (i guess) and i couldn't understand the guy.

I got really frustade and hunged up the pohne.

It's a jocke.

The AI assistant it's even a bigger jocke.

I don't know what to do.

I am loosing my mind.

That sounds like the suspension Yahoo apply automatically when their systems detect unusual activity. As @caesarome posted you'll need to speak to Sky to get it lifted. It may be a challenge as knowledge of Sky Yahoo !ail processes appears not to be widespread amongst advisers.

When you do get through to Sky, ask to be transferred to the IDM (Identity Management) Team , they should be able to get Yahoo to remove the suspension, once they have confirmed your identity.
