Re: e mail account taken over
If you can't change your password online, Sky should be able to reset it for you if you call them. Then you'll be able to reset your memorable information etc.

Re: e mail account taken over
The adviser was wrong. Sky can reset your SkyID over the phone. It's your Sky ID that you use to log in to Sky Yahoo Mail. I'd give them another call.

Re: e mail account taken over
@LydiaRR I have been in exactly the same situation. Sky Helpdesk were helpful to a point. So, after 3 attempts I was able to get back into my account, but the hacker had changed everything, by changing the password at least twice and changing memorable information I recovered the site, BUT the hacker had changed my filters and added an AOL address, which I can't get rid of at present, but I have removed the filters that sent most of my emails into trash! Everyday I have had to go through the trash bin to sort out what is important. Now that should stop. Be vigilant

@Pipjc yes, a hacker who manages to get into your account can cause havoc. You're right - vigilance is a must. Watch out for phishing emails purporting to be about your email account encouraging you to 'verify' your log in or 'update' your account. They inevitably lead to be a fake website designed to look like Sky Yahoo Mail but which isn't and captures your log in details. Be sure to use a strong password - letters, numbers and special characters and avoid using complete words that might appear in a dictionary.

Removing the AOL address should be easy. Go to Settings - More settings - Mailboxes and select your Sky mailbox. There you will find the "reply-to-address". Change that.
