Why is it taking so long to download emails?
For some time now I open my inbox and emails are partially uploaded. Sometimes taking ages to download the full email. It sometimes doesn't download them at all saying there is a problem with the server. I have just tried to have a conversation with customer service and was cut off. The person had my phone number to phone me back just in case we got cut off but of course he hasn't bothered! 😡. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how was it resolved. If I go into the website for sky or yahoo my emails are all perfectly there! Thanks

I've moved your post from the Sky+ forum.
Sounds like an issue with the email app or client you're using, rather than a Sky Yahoo Mail problem, given that they're there when you log in via the Sky website.

Are you using Apple Mail? There is a known problem with that at the moment.

I was able to fix it eventually. I followed some help from the sky help button. It appears that you have to delete the email account and re install and they send you a new password for each device and now it works. This is for Apple devices.

I presume @Debbie+W is saying that she used this link to generate a password and use:

@caesarome Thank you for the link and I have followed the instructions but I am unable to see Incoming Mail Server on my yahoo mail settings. I can only see the Outgoing Mail Server. I've been on to Apple Support for an hour this morning and 2 last night but they don't seem to be able to help and have referred me to Yahoo. Can you help at all?

What device are you using, if it is an iPhone as you using the mail app that is already in it ?

I can understand but need to know what app you are using on the both of them ?
If you are not sure another way to access your emails is by installing the Outlook app on them.

Problems with Apple Mail have been reported over the last couple of months or so. I suspect what you're experiencing is related. Apple are reportedly aware and presumably therefore working on it, but in the meantime you might want to use the Outlook app as an alternative.

@caesarome Hi. Thanks for the info. Neither of the Apple support team I spoke to this morning were aware of it but I think they were going to escalate the issue. Thanks for your help.

I'm not am Apple user, but this may help find the settings for your incoming server:
Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – Apple Support (UK)

@Mark39 The 2 support techs were not aware of the issue so were not able to help in the end. They were going to escalate. In the meantime i've decided to use emails on the yahoo app. Thanks for your help.
