Why do I need a new password

I have just tried to access my yahoo emails but a message appeas asking me to confirm my name and address and asking me to create a new password. Why is this? I am always suspicious of stuff I don't understand.

@johnsweet I assume you mean your Sky Yahoo Mail. Are you seeing the same message if you log in here: www.sky.com/signin/email ?
