Who is Stephen?

I have two email addresses, one Sky one and one business one. My Sky account has the business email attached to it, but I get emails from Sky to both addresses. However when they send emails to the sky address they call me 'Stephen' which is NOT my name. Have I been hacked, or what the hell is going on?

Re: Who is Stephen?

Yes it is from Sky. I get two identical emails, one to each address. But the one to my sky email calls me Stephen!

And your display name is correct via your online email account:

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/

Settings > More settings > Mailboxes > Your Sky email address > Your Name.

I am stumped but can't see why you would be sent the same email address to two different email accounts ?

I doubt you have been hacked. What do you mean by Sky has your business email attached to it?

When you log in to https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details, with your Sky email and password, is your name shown correctly at the top right hand corner.

Re: Who is Stephen?

  • Yes, everything is correct. My ID is my business email, and all the details are correct. The Sky email address is one I use occasionally, and I get emails from Sky to that email, as well as the registered business one. Those emails are addressed to Stephen. If I log onto MySky using the Sky email, it let's me and displays my correct details (and my business email address) ... I have rung Sky and they are as stumped as me.

Oops sorry, I temporarily marked your post as the answer. I hit the wrong button.

How long have you had the Sky address, and has it always called you Stephen?

If Sky can't see why it is happening, then I don't think we can add much.
