Verification Texts Allegedly From Sky

I keep getting texts identifying as from SKY which keep giving me a genuine-looking 6 digit verification code that expires in 10 minutes..... for no apparent reason. I haven't tried to access nor buy anything. Please advise, thanks.

@Teabag67 they're sent when someone is trying to log in to your Sky Yahoo email account. If that's not you, it's somebody else. I agree it would be sensible to change your password immediately. Be sure to use a new password that nobody can easily guess - not a word you might find in a dictionary, for example.

To be safe I would change the password on your Sky email account as someone may be trying to access it. You'd also need to change the same details to the new password under any email client you use with Sky email.

Virginia.
I don’t work for Sky.
