Hi everyone sorry but I need some help. I have always signed in with my email address and password to sky yahoo mail but all of a sudden I keep getting told I need a code to set up 2 step verification which I do not want and then for some bizarre reason I received an email from sky thanking me for setting up 2 step verification and now I cannot access my emails on my laptop buut can on my mobile. How do I go back to just signing in like before please? I do not want to keep having to enter codes every time I want to look at my own emails! Many thanks. Kind Regards H

If you want to access your emails on your laptop without a code, like you do on your mobile, do the same as you do there, use a app. That will only need the code whilst setting it up.
Assuming your laptop is Windows 10/11 the New Outlook is available there, although there are many other 3rd party apps/clients available.

Re: Twoo step verification
@Henry+the+eigth I'm afraid 2 step verification is now mandatory.

Re: Twoo step verification
Im afraid what we as customers want doesn't come into it as 2FA is now switched on for us all so you will have to enter the code.
All tiy can do is when you next login tock
the remember me box and do not sign out as you should then keep you logged in for 30 days.

Re: Twoo step verification
@Henry+the+eigth I'm afraid that even if you had access to the Recovery Code, it wouldn't now help you.
Sky have deemed 2 step verification to be mandatory so even if you used your Recovery Code to turn it off, it would be re-enabled as soon as you logged in again.

You wouldn't have set it up because it has been turned on by Sky for us all.
