Sent box cleared out

All of the e mails shown in my sent mail box have disappeared. The yahoo recovery service only gives 3 options which infer that I have accidentally deleted them which is not the case, they have just disappeared! Another box I created to keep a specific e mail in also disappeared a few weeks ago. Is this an automatic thing and what can I do about it. Several of the sent e mails were my only proof that I contacted companies.

If the recovery service doesn't allow to get back these emails then unless someone has replied to these emails there is no way to get them back. Sadly emails being delete randomly by Yahoo is something that does happen which is why the best advice is to set up and use an alternative like Gmail where this doesn't happen.
